Yesterday, we had a party for her. We invited all the girls from her classroom and all her girlscout friends (about 20 people in total)
9 girls came (and a couple called sick at the last minute)
She had a fabulous time and I think she couldn't have been happier. (we don't give her "parties" with friends etc)
We had the party at our house. We set up the bounce house in the backyard. It was about 80 degrees outside but we have a maple tree that shades the area where the bounce house is so no burned feet.
The kids bounced, and played on the swingset and played around.
We did 2 crafts (kits I bought at Oriental trading co). one was making stained glass butterflies and one was making a beaded bracelet. All the girls loved the crafts of course. we also played balloon tag outside. That was a ton of fun! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

All the girls made a ton of great comments on how great the party was. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. One of the girls even said "Mmmm, this is a great cake! Where'd you get it from?" To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

A couple other girls exclaimed (at different times) that it was the best party they'd ever been to. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. The funny thing is - I didn't spend hardly anything on the party!
I got the invitations from the dollar tree. (they matched the cat theme Sarah picked out)
I bought the plates and a banner and some cute candles for her cake online for cheap (like I think the shipping was probably the same price To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. )
and I bought the craft packets and some streamers from Oriental Trading for cheap too.
I made the cake, bought some ice cream (on sale) and a box of popcycles (which the kids LOVED since it was so hot) and a couple boxes of caprisuns and bottles of water
I think all-told I spent under $60 for the entire party. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
