Default art work question

I've mentioned that Tim works a lot he does installs and repairs for phones and does a lot of on call shifts and works late a lot. He does it for the money to pay all the bills. But anyway every time Skye does any kind of artwork at home or school she always draws Mommy, Skye and TJ there never is Daddy and if you ask her wheres Daddy in the picture she'll tell you hes working. I think its funny but I just want to make sure that this is normal and ok.

I don't think there's anything wrong, it's just the way Skye sees things. Maybe you can talk to her about why Daddy isn't home alot, that he has to work to make sure that you have everything you need. And maybe you can try to make some more family time together with Tim?

I think it's normal and ok, but I'd also try to carve out some time with just Skye and Daddy.

My husband works the afternoon turn, so depending on the kids' schedules, they don't see him much. There have been days when I've told Josh Daddy was off, and he has said he wishes it would just be Mommy, Matthew and Josh because that's what he's used to.

I agree I think it's pretty normal. As Laura said "it's just the way Skye sees things" and as long as it's not bothering or upsetting her then I wouldn't worry.

I think it's pretty normal too.
My kids often do pictures without oldest dd Katie in them. She doesn't participate in many of our outings and spends a lot of time in her room, (she's 17, 10 yrs older than Ryan) so there's the age gap too. When we mentioned her absence in the pictures, we say things like "don't forget Katie", they started adding her in.
