Default 60 breaths per minute

Normal respitory rate for a 6 year old is about 30 breaths per minute.

And of course the phone rang a few minutes after I called the nurse advice line...AND we don't have call waiting. I got off as soon as I could, but it wasn't someone that was that easy to get rid of.

I have plenty of albuterol here, both in inhaler and neubulizer forms...all I need is the advice on how to administer it!

no advice, but a 6PM appointment. ANd of course, the law of parenting sick children applies...we are leaving to go to the peds in 10 minutes and he just got off the couch to run around. At least he feels fine!

Take him anyway! With the law of parenting sick children, he'll be deathly ill at 9!

They did the same old song and dance: oxymeter was low, lungs were fine, nebulizer and oxy meter went back up to normal range. No asthma dx yet, but I bet he gets one soon. Oh well! Seth was, as always a perfect child for the doctor!
