Default Bad diaper rash..

My poor baby has a horrible diaper rash that keeps coming back. She started this last week when she had a diarrhea a few times. I don't know why she had diarrhea other than it could be related to those stupid teeth still coming in. It's never happened before with teething though but it only happens once or twice a few days. Well last night she took a bath at 7 PM and her bum was fine but she woke up at 9 PM screaming she had a poopy diaper and it was

red as fire! She screamed in pain for a good 10 minutes after I changed her and put the Butt Paste on her. It looked better this morning but she still cried when I wiped her off.

What could be causing this diarrhea? She's not eating anything unusual. Like I said it only happens a couple of times per day and then she may go 2 days with normal bm's.

I don't know what to tell ya. Slater struggled with diarhea off an on since November! When it got really bad, I slapped some mylanta on his butt and that seemed to help. He seems to be over it now.

When my first born was around this same age, he ALSO had long lasting diahrea. I have no idea if this a semi-normal thing for kids or what. Maybe their stomachs are changing the way they deal with food?

Good luck! I just hate it when their poor little bums look so painful

My first thought was the teeth, they swallow more drool with the back teeth coming in (for the front teeth it all seems to fall out

). Is she drinking more citrus juice than usual? That might be getting to her, my kids don't do citrus for that reason. I'd keep the Boudreaux's on her and see how it goes, maybe put a bit of hydrocortisone on it.

No as a matter of fact I've cut back on the apple juice to just 1 cup a day with about 75% water and 25% juice. She's not eating any citrus fruits either.

I hope it's just those 2 year molars but boy they will not be in for a long time it just seems to have her mouth swollen in back. Her eye teeth are coming in too she has 2 broken threw and waiting on the others.

The one thing that gives Aedan the Big "D" is peaches. So we try to avoid them.

As far as diaper rash.. he always gets one with teeth cutting. HE had one yesterday. But I think it was from having a poopy diaper. Then he screamed bloody murder whrn I wiped him and tried to get him in the tub.. He NEVER cries in the tub.. loves it. I think his butt was too sore.. He would not sit down.
