Emily got an A in music

and Bs in everything else. Her teacher said she's doing well but needs to slow down with her work. (She loves to learn but she's very competitive and I think she's eager to finish quickly and show her work to the teacher.

Ryan got an A in science and Bs in everything else. His teacher said he's impulsive and needs to be reminded to stay on track.

And he also said Ryan needs to be reminded not to interrupt/listen while others are talking. (This is a common problem at home as well.

) His teacher also said he's a great helper and took it upon himself to care for the class pet, a bird. Cute!

Parent/teacher conferences are being held on the 26th so I'm making appointments to see their teachers then. So glad dh doesn't have to work that day.

Katie got an 81% in Human Services and a 76% in art class. These are the only 2 subjects she's taking this term.

So all in all I'm very pleased with their report cards.

Sounds like the kids did great! Glad DH is off. Trying to manage all that on your own is tough. I wouldn't have been able to keep the kids occupied and talk to the teachers without DH's help. I would have spent the whole time telling the kids "don't touch that. Sit still. I'm trying to talk to your teacher". LOL!

Our school doesn't do report cards for the first quarter of 1st grade. We had a conference with the teacher and she said that Sarah is doing very well so she's not concerned.

Now that we're in the 2nd quarter, they're starting to keep grades and she'll get a report card from here on out. But in first grade, they still do O, S, S+, S-, U instead of A, B, C, D, F grades.
