If so, yes I set up backdrops. I did those in my garage believe it or not. Late day light and my south facing garage makes for AMAZING natural light.

Most of those 'backdrops' are actually shower curtains.

Keep your subject at least 4' in front of the backdrop to get a more blurred look....not sure I knew/did that in some of those. I think I 'learned' that right before that shoot and kept forgetting to skoot her further away.

MAJOR splurge...but OMG I LOVEEEEe it! I rarely use anything else anymore as it does macro(ish..enough for me at this point), wide angle and some zoom. Mostly I'm learning to zoom with my feet.

if I'm at an event or something that 'requires' more zoom I use my zoom/zoom lens.
I also FINALLY! MADE myself quit using auto mode and am learning what my camera can REALLY do.
