We went today and luckily dh had taken off to come with us because I needed his physical strength to hold her down for the exam. Erin was a nightmare from the start. She was actually jumping up and down screaming no while on the scale. We had to have the nurse leave the room so we could weigh her! She also all out fought and refused to have her eye test, so we have to either go back or go to an eye doctor for it!
At 2 she is 36 inches and 31 pounds-she is in the 90th percentile for weight and over the 95th for height-where she has pretty much always been.
I asked the doc and she said that she thinks Erin seems to be very sensitive to touch and has a hard time desensitizing when people touch her-ex tooth brushing, checking ears, etc. She said that dd will hopefully learn to cope with it soon and outgrow this phase.

Sounds like shes growing great!

Erin is like my kids--- going to be tall! Did the doctor say how tall? The ped says Josh will be about 6"3' and Matthew will be at least that tall too.

Matthew has the opposite-- he's sensory seeking. He loves to be tickled, hung upside down, etc. Glad dh was able to help you.

Im glad you dh could go to help you! sounds like she's growing well.

Funny thing is that she is sensory seeking too. She asks dh to put her in the daddy trap (he holds her until she kisses him but he moves around so she can't get to him-very cute!) She loves tickles, asks to have her back scratched, wants hugs constantly, etc. When it comes to brushing hair, checking ears, brushing teeth and getting her eczema checked she freaks!

Maybe it is just her being a toddler and trying to control everything that goes on around her!

Oh, and I have not asked about her final height, but dh has a sister who dd has followed exactly in terms of her heights along the way so far-His sister is 5'10", so we figure Erin will be around there too!
