Default Trapped wind

I've noticed lately since Lucy is sleeping with me that she has tons of trapped wind at night and I think that is the reason for her wakefulness over the last few months. Anytime she has woken at night she always cried out and I just thought it was me she wanted but she would always settle back but lately she has been waking up crying and I can't console her and then after a few minutes she farts so loudly and then she goes back to sleep so I'm thinking maybe this was the problem along.

I've been reading up and I'm going to stop cheese and yoghurt (her favs) and see if it helps. I had some granules I got from a friend that disolves in her milk so I gave her some before bed. I'm wondering if the milk is causing the problem as well, she loves her cows milk.

Anyone deal with this?

Preston had that same problem for a long time. Poor guy had some bad constipation issues. When we finally took him into see a gastroenterologist and got him some medicine he finally started sleeping through the night. He was waking up from tummy pains too.

I have to think very carefully sometimes when posting because of the double meanings between Europe and US.

She doesn't seem to suffer at all during the day its a night so I'll cut out some food first and see if it makes a difference.

I've never heard of the term trapped wind either!

Avery gets very gassy at nighttime as well... but she eats very little dairy so I know that isn't her problem... she has gotten to be really restless at nighttime here recently but I never thought anything about it....

Oh poor Lucy-hopefully the diet adjustments work, althought I know it will be tough taking away a favorite treat!

And I also think "trapped wind" sounds MUCH more polite, lol! Maybe we'll start using it here!
