Post u/s Appt tomorrow

Well, I have my CD4 u/s Wednesday morning at 9:00am. I usually have cysts, so I'm sure I'll have to do a couple rounds of BCP. Hopefully, I won't have too many and they won't be all that big. Wish me luck!

Hi Mandi,

How did the U/S go? Hoping there weren't too many cysts, or better still, none at all!?!

I had 2 possible endometrium cysts (chocolate cysts). One is 27mm and the other is 29mm. He said he doesn't want to do a repeat scope so I have to do 2 months of BCP's to see if they shrink. If after the 2 months, they remain the same or grow, then we will discuss my options at that time. He also said he is doing another procedure where you go in through the vagina and drain the cysts; therefore, it's not a "surgical" procedure. So that puts me on a 2 month break.

Hi Mandi,

So sorry that you still had 2 cysts there and now face another 2 month break

As to the procedure, it sounds exactly what they attempted with my cyst, back in March '03. They will basically "aspirate" them. It's very like the procedure they use for egg collection in IVF ladies. It makes your eyes water a bit, as they push the needle thru your vaginal wall, but is fascinating to watch as it shrinks down!
