lurking here, hope you don't mind. My dh had the same thing, and we had to see a urologist as well. His SA was horrible, no motilyty, low count, you name it , he had it. they also suggested the same procedure to him, but told us it was not a definite to solve the problem of me not getting preg. we saw an Re in the meantime, who suggested with his results we do IVF with ICSi right away, without doing anything else such as IUI to begin with. We thought long and hard, and decided not to do the surgery,a nd do IVF, where it looke dmore positive to happen then the surgery possible working. I got preg on the first time, and have a beautiful 18 month old now from that, and then had an OOPS when she was 9 months old, and got preg on our own, now with a 2 week old boy.

Go with your heart, I have been following your story and your so strong, i wish you the best of luck in your decision!

It's the same feeling I have when the girls are sick, in the hospital, having surgery, etc. I'd do just about ANYTHING to make it go away. His feeling of inadequacy, the hurt he feels, his ego blow, etc. I'd take it all on myself if I could.

We'll get through this, I know. It's definitely NOT the end of the world for us. Just a major knock backward.

I agree with the other ladies-- take it one step at a time.
