Question Another Food Question

I've seen in some books and even the feeding pamphlet Nate's new pediatrician gave us that now is a good time for him to be trying things like cottage cheese and yogurt. But how can we give him that if he can't have milk until he's 1?

I've wondered this too

We have a fromais frais here in the Uk that says it's suitable from just 4mos on the label and the Dr said I should give K when she was 6mos. I should have asked him this, but didn't think until I was back home

I think the not having milk til 1 is that you do not replace milk with formula (not that they can't have it at all)

From what I've read, the reason is that, cottage cheese and yogurt have a bacteria added to it, which makes it more tolerable for babies. Milk is an irritant for their stomachs, and introducing it too early, could make them allergic/intolerant to milk.
