Is this a new product or have I been living under a rock? I didn't get the swing I registered for, but at my shower yesterday friends told me about a "bouncy seat that is a swing that goes back and forth and side-to-side". I went to Babies R Us yesterday right after the shower and bought it. So far I like it, but Aislinn's still getting used to it. It takes up a lot less space than the papasan swing I wanted, and it can be moved from room to room with a little effort.

She's asleep in it right now, and before if I had tried to lay her in the Boppy after eating she would have lasted two minutes. It doesn't bounce like a bouncy seat, but I sure like it. Oops, I spoke too soon, I hear her.

I am not exactly sure which one you are talking about, but I have the fisher price cradle swing. It rocks both ways and I LOVE it!!

This one is like a wide, cushy bouncy-type seat that sits on a pedestal. The shape almost reminds me of a baby scale.
Rather than swinging from the top, it "glides" through a mechanism under the seat. You turn the seat to make it side or front gliding. It has music too. I'll see if I can find it on Babies R Us .com and post the link.

Here it is:
