Question How do I fix this

Ladies, I'm in dire need of some help. My 2 week old son has his days and nights mixed up. I have no idea how to get him switched around. And it's really starting to wear me down, I litterally have no recolection of last night. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. TIA

I would just try to introduce as much routine with sleeping and bedtime as possible. I know he young but see if you can keep him awake a little more during the day using a wet washcloth to wake him up and feed him more during daylight hours.

make sure he is napping in the bright rooms not dark then at night make his room (or wherever he's sleeping) as quiet and dark as possible.

last don't ever wake a sleeping baby at night time for a feeding. And try not to turn on lights and other things when you do tend to him at night just use a night light or low lights if possible.

As frustrating as this is, it's very normal. Just try to keep your regular day and nighttime routines in your house, and the baby will eventually figure things out. Their sleeping and waking patterns can be very erratic the first couple of months, so hang in there! Also make sure that during nighttime feedings, you interact as little as posible and try to keep the room dark so the baby isn't encouraged to stay awake.

I would try to keep him awake as much as possible during the day by playing with him, singing to him, etc. and that will help him to start to sleep more at night. It will work out - just really hard on you right now.

You know Vickie, I'm having the same problems as you. Avery sleeps like an angel during the day and up and hard to settle at nights...I get frustrated as well, and I tell DH(who wants to interact with her at nights since he works all day) not to talk to her much and not to take her out of the room so she knows that nights are boring...hang in there and if it gets tough, just ask your DH to tend to her instead of you getting up every minute. Leave the room go to the couch or anywhere where you dont hear the baby cry and trust that your hubby will take care of him.
