Default start small talk?

How old was everyones child/children when they first started saying things like "mama" "dada" "baba" or mommy and daddy?
My daughter makes sounds as if she is really trying to say something and we sit down with her and try to get her to say mama or dada.
Im just dying to hear her say mama or dada!! Im soooo anxious!! I know i dont want to rush things but it will just melt my heart when i hear her say mama or mommy.
Shes a little over 4 months...
is it possible for the mama, dada, baba's yet???

It's hard to remember now (and I'm too lazy to get up and go look in the books

) but I think they were a bit older than that before they started talking with purpose more than babbling. I want to say closer to 7-8 months when they started to recognize that words went with people or objects.

Don't be heartbroken but Dada or Daddy usually comes before Mama because its an easier sound to make.
