We're here! Marek will turn 4 on September 11, and he starts his first year of preschool on August 31. He'll be going from 9-11:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays. Although he is quite competent using the potty, flushing and washing his hands, he chooses not to most of the time. The exception is in public, where he wants to use the potty in the "boy's room". I've gotten used to waiting outside the door for him. I'm hoping peer pressure will get him on the program, since he'll be seeing his buddies at preschool go in the potty there. Of course, he'll be wearing a pull-up every day.

We had a great time at Disneyland/California Adventure in May, and Marek is now obsessed with roller coasters and rides in general. He actually rode Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, the Matterhorn, and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror among other rides (though he will not admit it, he was rather freaked out by Big Thunder - "I wasn't scared in those dark tunnels!" - and Tower of Terror - "That was a HAUNTED HOTEL!!!"). We've got a bunch of cool activities coming up, including a Ralph's World concert on Saturday and Day Out With Thomas a week from Sunday.

Marek's taking swim lessons every week and seems to enjoy them. We're looking forward to having a birthday playday party at a local park next month.

That sounds like tons of fun Rudi! Cora is the same way about rollercoasters - she wants to ride ALL of them. Thankfully she is too short for all the big ones ... for now. I told dh he can take her on all of those roller coasters in a few years and I'll go on rides with Preston. (I like them, but not the newer scary versions).

We've had a pretty boring summer. Just hanging out with friends, playing in the kiddie pool, running errands. I feel bad we don't get out too much but it has been way too hot. On a side note I've been CRAZY busy in the evenings. In fact I usually have somewhere to go or do almost every night. That is definitely not usual for me.

Cora starts preschool in the fall and she's super excited. Hopefully she'll be just as excited a week or two into the year. She's going Monday - Thursday for 3 hours a day.

It sounds like everyone else is having a fun summer! Ours is pretty much the same old routine. Aislinn has been doing a lot of swimming in my parets' pool. On my Fridays off, we've been doing some extra running around that we would noramlly do on the weekend.
