Default eye doctor

I took Lincoln to his first eye appointment this week. he had been acting really sensitive to the sunlight and I wanted to get him checked out. they said he had a very slight astigmatism but nothing he needs to have corrected. she said that eye sight can change a lot during the fist 5 years so they would check him again before he starts kindergarten.
They said he did have some lighter pigment on the inside of his eyes that could be why he is more sensitive to the sun but mine are the same way so as long as he has his sunglasses on he will be fine. He always has them when we leave the house anyways. He did really great at the appointment and did not cry once until it was time to leave, and only because he wanted to stay and play with the toy's. lol

Sounds like a great appointment! I'm going to have to take Matthew probably after he turns 4.

I dont know the recommended age but some doctors suggest having them come in before they start school. or sooner if they are showing signs of eye problems or there is a family history of eye problems.

I usually just waited till they started school unless I had a reason to take them sooner. The dr recently wanted to do an eye test on Hannah and she said she passed with flying colors so I think it might be a test that she just does on all her patients as long as their insurance covers it.
