Default Field trip

Next friday, Nicole is going on a field trip to a farm for a hayride and pumpkin picking and such. I was told she needs to be dropped off at the school by 8:50 and the buses are leaving at 9:15 and getting dropped off at home at 1:15. No lunches will be provided and they will recieve a snack of ice cream...ice cream?! No lunch and to me ice cream for a snack isnt something that will satisfy your hungar cravings. I emailed the teacher and she confirmed this. I just think its crazy that you are going to take 3 yr olds to a farm for 4 hours w/o a lunch.

My son went to a farm, and they left at 8:45, and returned at 12:00. They had a doughnut snack.

He's actually getting ready to go on trip #2, which is to a pumpkin patch where I imagine he will go in a hayride. I don't let the kids go on field trips without one of us, especially not hay rides, so dh could just given Matthew a snack if he was too hungry.

I hope she has fun!

It does seem a bit crazy they could at least have like some crackers and cheese or something a bit healthier for snack. I would just give her a big breakfast and have lunch ready for her when she gets home. there have been day's Lincoln dont eat lunch until after 1 and he does ok with it.
hope she has fun though!
