Default Matthew needs glasses

I had a feeling...

He needs glasses. For now, he needs to wear them for preschool and any table games/computer activities/handheld games. She said not to bother any other time for the simple fact that he'll probably break them!

I went with him, and still, at age 35, don't need glasses. I feel like I'm straining to see, but she said that it's not enough yet to warrant a prescription. I've never had those stupid dialating drops before!! I was a miserable baby over it. I didn't cry or anything lol, but that was AWful! I am worried about what his glasses will look like because I had to pick them out while my eyes were all jacked up, but I think I did a pretty good job judging by the picture I did manage to take with my phone so I could see them later when I could see.

Just lurking - he looks adorable with them. You did a wonderful job. Fingers crossed that he wears them when he needs to and he doesn't break them!

He looks great in them. We were supposed to yesterday for Erin but had to cancel the appt. She failed her eye test at her 3 yr visit so I think she will be joining Matthew once we go!

Thanks

Well, I figured he needed them because, for one, his dad has horrible vision. Secondly, sometimes when I was asking him to read letters he was saying "P, P, P, P, P." I thought he was fooling around, so I sharply said "Matthew, stop playing around!" He then walked right up to the letters and said "OH!" and then read them all correctly!

He is soooo smart. He was doing the eye test, and the letters were on the screen. We had told them they were "a bunch of letters." One was a Z, and he called it a different letter each time. Another one was a C and he called it an O every time.

Once the official "test" was over, he said "I think there was actually a NUMBER on the chart." I asked him which number and he said "two." I thought that was pretty smart that he just guessed a letter since he knows 2 is a number. Then, a good 10 minutes later, he got down, and it was my turn, so he was down by the screen. He said, "hey, it wasn't a 2, it was a Z! Oh, and it's a C, not an O!"
