Default More potty training woes

Anyone have any advice? DD turned 3 in november and "can" do everything needed to potty train, but won't. She had some tummy issues right when we were just about to switch to underwear that completely derailed everything. Now that her tummy is back under control, she has been in pull-ups so long that she started using them as diapers again. I know I should "wait until she is ready" but now I think she is just being lazy since she has the pullups to fall back on. I was thinking of switching her to underwear in another week and see what happens. Maybe once she has to use the toilet she will go back to it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, and we are doing sticker charts with things she definitely wants as rewards.

Definitely go back to underwear, grit your teeth and ride through the storm. My four-year-old son was/is lazy about using the toilet, but he can do what he needs to do when he focuses. He's perfect at preschool and in public but still sometimes pees his pants at home because he's too lazy to stop what he's doing to go. He almost never has a poop accident, because it's too disruptive to his life to have to be cleaned up after one.

She will do it if you make it uncomfortable for her if she doesn't.

Thanks Rudi-that is exactly what I was thinking. I have also stopped changing wet pull-ups. She is fully capable of taking her pants on and of, so why can't she change herself, right? I think I will send her to school in pullups because she actually uses the toilet there anyway and I don't want her to have an accident at school and get upset/make everything worse!
I have planted the seed and told her that come Monday, we are wearing big-girl undies so we need to practice the best we can for the rest of the week. We went and picked out some new ones again to hopefully make her excited about them.

Exactly. I put Marek's underpants in a low drawer he could easily open himself. When he wets his pants at home and comes to me, I just tell him to take care of it. "You know where your underpants are. Put your wet clothes in the hamper." No emotion, no extra attention. Just matter-of-fact. He doesn't even ask me now.

I would cut off the pullups cold turkey. You're sending her a mixed message by using them for a particular situation. She will then have difficulty determining when she can or can't pee her pants and will have the potential for more accidents.

You will probably find that she will police herself in a school setting, and the school is equipped to deal with accidents when they happen. Speak with her teacher and let him/her know that you are having some trouble with toilet regression and that you're going to send her with underpants. I think the teacher will reassure you that they will deal with the fallout if an accident happens. I was terrified that Marek would pee his pants at school, and I spoke with the teachers about it. They told me to stop worrying - they have lots of underpants and clothes they can change the kids into, and they'd take care of it if it came up. It never has. Your daughter won't want to have an accident at school, and the kids all go at the same time, so peer pressure keeps everybody dry.

Just my two cents. Using pullups caused more problems for me than was worth. I even took my son on field trips to the city (an hour each way in the car plus museum time) in underpants and just dealt with the accidents (and we had some, and a couple were pretty bad) even there. I carried extra undies, pants, plastic bags and tons of wipes. Marek almost NEVER has an accident in public, because he was mortified that his friends who came with us saw he'd had an accident).

Thank you so much-you make such a good point about the school situation. I also think pull ups caused us more harm than good here-too much convenience.
