Smile Naps on the go

Does anyone have tips for naps on the go? Kieran is at the age now that if we are out and about he does not want to nap because he is too busy looking around. This can make for a cranky baby. He is a fantastic sleeper at home in his crib or pack and play. I wanted to go grocery shopping this morning but I thought after being out visiting yesterday he needed his morning nap. Speak of the devil, he is up. I better go.

Have you tried a sling? I put Matthew in it at the grocery store and he almost always sleeps.

i have no tips. Hadara naps as long as the car is moving but as soon as we get out of the car she up and ready to play (or scream, whatever the case may be). We went to the grocery store today and to try to make it as easy as possible I nursed her in the car immediately before going in. She sat perfectly content in her car seat in the shopping cart for the entire trip just munching on her hands. i'm sorry, this is of little help i know.

I second the sling idea.....I know when I absolutly have to get something done at home that always works. Maybe try it out a home a couple times to see how Kieran likes it first. Also I've found that when we are out shopping Talon likes to have his soft blankey in his carrier with him. He rubs his face into it and fall asleep almost every time. But luckily Talon sleeps alot of the times when we go out..thats unless I really want him to sleep, like at the DMV, and then hes wide awake and whailing....lol.

I think I may try my ring sling with him when he should be sleeping and I'm out. He likes to face out in the moby wrap now so he can check everything out. He has changed so much in the last couple of weeks.
