Just curious how they're taking to it, how hard it was to settle in, etc.

He starts Tuesday 8/31.

Aislinn is a cautious child who needs time to feel comfortable in new situations. In both places she has attended, we made multiple visits before her first day so she could get familiar with everything. I think it made all the difference for her, and I know when I was teaching preschool the kids who visited at least once beforehand had a much easier time in general than those who didn't.

She still has her days when she doesn't want to let go of mommy, but her teachers are very nurturing and give her the space she needs to be ready to join the group.

Good luck!

That sounds fantastic Monique! Cora's preschool is doing an open house on the 2nd so we'll be going to the classroom to mingle with the other kids and their parents in her class so hopefully that will help. There is another little girl in the class that Cora knows so hopefully seeing another familiar face will ease the transition as well.

When both boys initially started preschool, they gave me the "uh, bye mom" thing, because they had been there before, etc. Then, after a few weeks when the novelty wore off, they did start to cry a little. Then, they got used to it and were fine most days.

I bet he will love it! He will love the various activities and how quickly one activity flows into the next!
