  • For the past few years, my dad has been dressing up as Santa for Xmas Eve, b/c we spend the night over there house and dont see them for Xmas. We normally do 4:30 mass, have dinner and exchange gifts. Well, this year, we will see them on Xmas day, so I plan on being over my IL's for Xmas Eve instead. My dad still wants to dress up as Santa, but we have no time on Xmas Eve, which we wont be staying for dinner. He was thinking of dressing up at the house that were going for on xmas, but it would be during the day and just didnt feel comfortable. dad is becoming so soft in his old age. My mom mentioned that he was tearing up b/c it seemed like it wasnt going to happen. My mom called me up wondering if it would be okay to drop over my IL's so Santa can give them a gift. Im sure my ILs wont mind, but didnt think this was becoming such a fiasco.

  • Seriously-they get so attached to having everything going exactly the same way each year. My sis and I are already having similar issues with my parents and our kids are only 2 and 16 months old! This is only the 3rd Christmas with kids around and they already think we are doing the same things the same way every year!
I hope everything works out for you!
Thank you teddybear1082!
