Exclamation Sienna's tooth...

Not sure if I mentioned this, but a few weeks ago Sienna and Douglas were playing "Bucking bronco" and Sienna flew ocver the top of Douglas into the metal frame of their bunk bed. Sienna hit her mouth and chipped one tooth and pushed the other back (both top teeth).

We took her to our normal dentist and he said the chipped tooth was pushed forward, the other one was fine and that doing anything would just cause more pain than it's worth. He did nothing.

The next day she was still in a ton of pain so we took her to a pediatric dentist. He said we were right, the one tooth was chipped the other was pushed back. Had he seen her the day before he'd of pushed it back into place, now it was hardened too much and he couldn't do anything with it. We'd wait a few weeks and see if he should pull it or leave it.

Today was her appointment. Her tooth was loose and turning gray and her gum around it was starting to swell up a bit. The x-ray they took today showed a down-hill slide that would continue to get worse had we not done anything so the decision was to pull it. Sienna was NOT happy! But they gave her some laughing gas and numbed her mouth and pulled it out. When they brought her back to the waiting room and they gave me instructions, extra gauze, and her tooth, she said, "They pulled my tooth out?" So obviously the gas worked!

When we got home, she was SOOOO drooly! So I replaced her gauze (a couple times) and then she said it hurt. I told her she didn't have to eat, but she decided she wanted 2 bowls of applesauce after taking some tylenol. Now she seems just fine, so i guess we'll keep up with the tylenol for the rest of the day and see how things go! SO far so good!
