Gavyn's been trying for awhile. He'll do the tripod thing (sit holding himself with his hands) for a minute or so but then he throws himself backwards. He thinks it's funny to fall! He can't get there himself yet though, but he's just 5 months so I know he's got a little while to go before he can get there on his own.

Aislinn tries all the time - she fights to be upright. She can hold herself up by leaning forward on her hands, but can only do that for about a minute.

We are working on it here. Sophia can sit for a couple of minutes on her own by leaning forward and much longer when the boppy pillow is around her and toys are distracting her. She likes to rock back and forth, learning to keep her balance. I don't think it will be too much longer before she is going to be doing it on her own. Noah moves way to much to sit His feet are always moving. We were practicing today and he did sit leaning forward for about a minute.

Avery is constantly trying to sit by lifting her head and her shoulders. If I sit her up and let her go, she would stay for a few seconds, but not longer. If she holds herself with her arms, she sits longer, but I feel so bad for her because she is slouching, so I just lay her back down. She is also really trying so hard to turn from her back onto her tummy. She twists and turns, it is so cute!
