Unhappy Still nothing...

Well my little Avery is still not rolling onto her tummy. She gets really really close, and I know she wants to (especially at night because she wants to sleep on her tummy) but she just can't. Of course, she is nowhere near crawling yet, she is just mastering sitting.
Now, I know that she will eventually do all these things, but I can't help but feel a bit envious of all the other babies and their milestones. Avery has not really said any "words" yet either. She blabs all the time, but no "da da", "ba ba" or anything like that yet. The pediatritian says she is just fine and there are no delays, she looks and acts perfectly healthy, but I just want her to start achieving the next milestones.
People tell me to be greatful that she is not moble yet because I don't have to chase after her, but they don't understand that it is so exciting to have them do these things...*sigh*...I guess I just wanted to let this out...

She'll be doing all of these things before you know it. Enjoy all of the things she already DOES now, and those new things will jus pop up when she's ready for them to.

Some babies wait to learn all the milestones at once! Some even skip certain milestones. There is nothing for you to worry about It took Gavyn a long time to figure out how to roll to his belly! He doesn't say words either, but babbles da da da da da da and all that all day long. I can tell he's going to be extra slow on the crawling front.

Don't you worry, Avery is doing just right!

I know I've mentioned this before too, but my Ava didn't roll from her back to her tummy until AFTER she started crawling.

Keller still has no balance and doesn't sit unassisted at all. He occasionally rolls one direction or the other, but only when he's really mad for the most part.

My best friend (who, by the way, is expecting her 6th baby in March and her oldest child is 8) has had several of her kids not crawl until 10 months and met other baby timeline milestones "late" and all are completely healthy, smart kids.

I know it is hard to watch the other babies doing things that you can't wait for Avery to do too. I have a hard time sometimes with how far "behind" Keller is compared to Ava. I'm not worried about him. I'm just impatient.

It will all happen and you'll love every second of it when it does. Just keep enjoying all the sweet, cute things she is doing now!

I know it's hard. My daughter Emma didn't crawl till she was 10 1/2 months old and in the end it was fine. Now she acts like any other child. Kara has totally masted rolling and holding her head and upper chest off the ground to look around but she can not sit on her own yet. It will happen.
