Thumbs down Teething!

Why did I never know teething makes the gums bleed? Marek's cutting one of his top front teeth and is dripping bloody drrol all over me. And he's like Jekyll and Hyde, back and forth between crying and laughing. Gave him some Tylenol, but haven't seen a lot of difference.

I was over at my friend's house and complained about the little blood spots on my shirt. She said, "You can tell people you were involved in a drive-by gumming."

How long will he be miserable, do you think?

OMG Rudi~~ I was just signing on to post the same thing. However, Taylor's gums aren't bleeding. She cried, non-stop, from 5-6pm tonight. We tried everything (putting her in her play pen, bouncer, down on the floor, each of us holding her, rocking her, etc.). NOTHING has worked. She finally cried herself to sleep at 6pm but awoke at 7pm and it was time for her bottle. She acted like she was hungry but only took 3 of the 5 ounces. We checked her fever and it was 98.1. My mom said she was PERFECT today then I get her home and DH and I cannot console her to save our lives.

She did have a little diarrhea (sp?) today at my Mom's house. But again ~ my mom said she was an extremely happy baby today.

i never heard of the gums bleeding, but Ava was horrible when she cut her bottom two teeth, up at night and miserable. Motrin did nothing for her for the pain. Good luck, hopefully it pops threw soon

Oh no - I'm sorry he's been feeling so miserable! Tylenol didn't help here either. Looks like Motrin didn't help Ava, but motrin worked really well for Cora. She acted like her normal self during the day. She was a bit crazy at night, but that's understandable. OUCH - teething is NO fun!

Gosh I've never heard of gums bleeding when teething, but it makes perfect sense. I'm sorry he's having such a rough time of it, and I hope those little pearly whites come in quickly for him.
