I never knew this could happen.....

Okay, so everyone here knows that Illinois is pretty much getting a hit with a blizzard right now. I'm sitting here typing away, wide awake (of course Julia is sound asleep) and it is THUNDERING AND LIGHTENING!!!!!!! And it's not even like it's getting warmer and the snow is getting ready to change to rain. It is 26 degrees with a windchill of 14!

Sounds like the weather I love. We are finally having freezing cold temps here which is extremely rare, but no snow unfortunately.

Don't feel bad Jenna. The snow I'm getting is HORRIBLE! We are still under blizzard like conditions and the drifts due to high winds is making it so much worse. If Texas got this kind of snow officials probably wouldn't have a clue what to do with it.

I normally do enjoy snow, especially if I don't have to travel in it which I don't but this kind of snow this early in the season stinks. It's going to stick around for a LONG time and this kind of snow on the ground will make it very difficult for temperatures to go above freezing for a long time. I HATE cold!

Yep, we got thunder and lightning too. It's very rare to see it with such cold temperatures. My dh HATES thunder and lightning because it disturbs his sleep. I sleep right through it.

Winter blows! And this year I don't have a trip to Aruba to look forward to Oh well, at least I have an entertaining little guy to play with! And I don't have to go to work until March. Hooray!

I hear you Rudi. We normally go to Mexico in December and February but this year that's out. I don't mind either since I'd much rather be spending my time with Julia. I just wish she was big enough to go play in the snow!!!! I took Rufus out this morning and he stepped off the deck and SANK into the snow. All I could see where his ears and tail sticking up. It was so funny watching him try to get out of it!
