Exclamation Update on the girlies!

Where to start... That's a tough one!

Athemia is growing up fast, or so it seems since the baby was born! She is 3 years old now and she LOVES her new little sister and is very helpful. No jealousy issues or anything like I was worried about! Athemia can count almost to 20 without help, she can write some letters (including most of the ones that are in her name!), and she just started some activities at the Y! So far she's had gymnastics and dance and she LOVES both! She also has swimming lessons, but since Y stuff started this past week and swimming is on Mondays she hasn't gotten to that just yet. I'm hoping she'll like that too!

Sienna is 4 and also growing up way too fast too! She is able to sound out a LOT of words and is almost halfway through the learning to read book that we have! She can write all her letters and spell quite a few names (her name, Athemia, Douglas, Mom, Dad, etc) She also loves her new little sister and is constantly asking to hold her! Sienna also has activities at the Y. She has the same ones as Athemia, swimming, gymnastics and dance. She's been in all of these before and she's in the same class times as Athemia except dance which is one right after the other. She really seems to like all her classes and now that Athemia has started she's even more excited to have somone to share her experiences with!

Nothing too major has happened lately except Sienna had a little accident. Douglas got the bright idea to play bucking bronco with Sienna on the bunk beds (metal frame, top bunk is a single size bed, bottom bunk is a futon, metal ladder attached) LUCKILY they were on the bottom bunk, NOT so luckily Sienna flew over Douglas' head and hit her mouth on the metal ladder. She didn't have to get stitches for her cut lip (in about 2 or 3 places) but we did take her to the dentist. WE saw that one of her top front teeth is chipped and the other was pushed back. The dentist said the chipped tooth was pushed forward, the other one is in the right place. He wasn't going to do anything and if she ended up in pain we were to call and bring her back so he could do something about it.
The next day we called becaue Sienna was in so much pain she couldn't even EAT. They referred us to a pediatric dentist who agreed that the one tooth was, indeed, pushed back and the other is chipped. He also said if he'd have seen her the day before he would have fixed it. Now was too late because it tightened back up. She has to go back to this dentist near the end of the month for a re-check and to see if the tooth needs to be pulled or not. Yesterday I noticed that tooth is a little loose, so DH thinks they are going to pull it. We are NOT going back to the first dentist ever again! (That's our regular detist and I LOVE the staff, but with a mistake that big neither DH nor I feel comfortable going back!)

Anyway, that's our little life right now! VERY busy, but lots of fun!!!
