Warning Ages & Stages

Nicole got a yellow warning stamp on her calendar at school yesterday. Goodness, it hasnt even been a week! DH thinks its b/c she didnt have any structure when she was younger. Kaitlyn was in daycare from about 6 months to close to 2, so she got in trouble about twice the entire school yr last yr. Nicole got a warning b/c she kept playing while she was told to put the toys away. Ugh...its going to be a long school year.

Don't feel bad! Tristan is in a special needs class....and he has folder that comes home every night with comments abotu his day. his teacher keeps making comments about naughty things he does...yesterday was slamming cabinet doors and when she told him to stop he looked at her, cackled gleefully and continued to do it!
Dh and I just cracked up when we read it...it's like, yeah, welcome to our world...and this is why we are sending him to you! You're the behavioral specialist, do something!
Not really sure what she expects us to do since we can't reason with him, and certainly can't punish him for something that happened earlier int he day.

I bet she's not the only one who got a yellow stamp! She's three after all! We do the green yellow, etc thing and I kind of think these kids are too young for it.

Janine, we did the notebook back and forth too. Matthew only ever did one "naughty" thing at school that she put in the notebook, but she also told us she handled it and how she handled it. Is the teacher basically complaining about his behavior? I would be a little upset if that was the case! I mean, she's supposed to be an expert in this area, really!

If only I gave out yellow stamps for the kiddo's in my home daycare!!! lol one is 2.5 and is going trough terrible twos right now.. her mom will drop her off, say good luck and run out the door!! lmao she spends a lot of time in time out for hitting, kicking, and biting other kids. and on top of that she is starting potty training and has big fits every time I ask her if she needs to potty or try to make her sit on the potty. lmao
