Our local Civic Center has ice skating every year in Dec through the new year. Brooke wanted a big party but I am not into doing those crazy bouncy places anymore but I wanted it to be something unique also. I didn't want her to have another home party in other words.

So I got the brilliant idea that we'll go ice skating. She loved that idea. You can't rent it out but that's OK. I am going to invite everyone to meet us in the lobby about 30 minutes prior to the 2 PM session, I'll do a head count and buy the tickets for everyone ($7 each for 1.5 hours). After that is over about 2 blocks away is a Mellow Mushroom Pizza place. Very good pizza and we'll walk down there around 4 PM , eat pizza and have cake.

Yes what is really nice is I don't have to have an RSVP because I don't have to have a reservation for the skating or the pizza place.

Thats really a great idea. Rachel's b-day is the 21st & I don't know what to do because I don't want a party at my house. I suggested a movie & lunch but she didn't like that idea so much.

Sounds like a good party! We had pizza at Mellow Mushroom when we went to Bama this summer and it was yummy!
