  • So Josh tells me today that there was a kid in the bus who "used to" bother him, but he made friends with him so now he doesn't bother him anymore.

I congratulated him for making friends with someone who had been bothering him, but asked him what had been going on. He said the kid was grabbing his lunch box and threw it in the aisle of the bus. I asked him what on earth he did when the kid did that and he said "I went and got it!"

He said the bus driver didn't know about it.

  • Ahhh, the bus..... Such a place of learning!

There are so many lessons to learn on a bus, like which middle finger is naughty, some prime four letter words, and how to survive the bullies.

The bus driver on T's bus wouldn't let him sit with J the first day... WTF????

I know lots of our troubles have come from the bus. I'm just not sure what to really do about it.

So glad he has a new buddy!!!

  • Yeah- I told him to yell "get out of my face" and give him a palm-heel strike (karate move). He bursted out laughing and so did I. He said, "Nooo Mommy!" I hugged him, and I was just happy it was over.

  • You have a very smart little guy. I'm glad he was able to work it all out himself. The bus is a hard place, a lot of my anxiety with my kids has come over issues on the bus.

Saw this story on CNN last night. Bus rides should be safe for our kids. In so many ways they are scary to me. I have trouble getting two of my own kids to listen to me while driving. How is a single person with 30+ kids supposed to maintain control of driving and behavior alone??
