Default Church today was interesting

We went to Children's mass so my son got to leave and go hear a children's liturgy. Heather stayed with us. About 20 minutes into it she said she had to go pottie so I took her then returned. 10 minutes later she starts screaming "pottie pottie pottie go pottie now!". It was of course a quiet part of the sermon.

DH ended up taking her out which is a bummer. He was the one who needed to stay. I do think I've talked him into trying it again next week. I figure he needs to give it a few tries to get comfortable with it before rejection it as "not for him".

DS will go again though. He saw several of his friends so it was all OK with him.

Sorry that dh missed some of the service but it sounds like it was overall a good experience.

Do they not offer any class for Heather's age or you just didn't feel comfortable leaving her? If I didn't drop my kids in their age appropraite classes I'd never heard anything in church.

Glad you were able to make it tp church. We always end up having to run out in the middle of church ( even when we've left the kids in Children's Church/Nursery.)
Hope you find a church that works for all of you.

Sorry it didn't go as smoothly as you hoped. Maybe next week you'll have better luck

They do have babysitting, but I'm not too comfortable leaving her in it even if she weren't sick. Maybe we'll stand in the back next week and I can put her coloring book on the floor or something?
