Question Cradle cap

Dewey has only had this one time since his birth and that wsa after Katrina when we had no a/c and he was soooo sweaty and nasty for those days. I'm assuming the sweat and all is what caused it then. Well I was just bathing him and he had a tiny patch of cradle cap about the size of a dime directly on top of his soft spot. At least I'm assuming that is what it was. I took his baby comb and the shampoo and scrubbed it out. Really thinking about it now I'm not 100% sure it was cradle cap or just some kind of funk he found, but I'm leaning toward the cradle "crap". Anyway, has anyone else had it lately? I thought it was more of a new baby thing. And what exactly causes it?

Also, here's a quick funny. Dew was on his tummy in the tub and all of a sudden he let out this big loud grown man poot! Well when he did he must have felt it at the same time he heard it cause it scared the mess out of him! Ya'll he for real jumped! I know I shouldn't laugh at my kid but God that was so funny!!!!

lol Ami you are too funny!

I'm not sure about the cradle "crap". I know my nextdoor neighbor's son had it for well over a year but he had it at birth too. Good luck!

@ the fart.... I bet Shawn would've been proud of that one

Ami.....are you sure it's cradle cap and not his eczema? But if it is cradle cap it just oil build up and the "dead skin cells" can't shed off. He's probably getting it because it's getting warmer and he's sweaty or something .......just a thought

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not eczema, it was kinda greasy like, not dry and scaley like his skin.
Oh yeah, Dad would have been proud, a chip off the ol' block! LOL!
