I'm at work but trying not to think too much about it being the beginning of the week and not the end. don't want to wish my life away.

What's going on with you guys?

A whole lot of nothing. Im at work and DH didnt get a good sleep, so hes home today. The gutter guy is suppose to show today to get them install on the house...Really stinks that having gutters on the house! Is really just counting down to my 4 day weekend!

We are having the huge tree finally removed from our front yard that fell 3 weeks ago. $1500 out of OUR pocket on top of the insurance. Then we'll have to get the porch redone and roof. UGH.

Susan, that really stinks. I can't believe insurance hasn't covered more (or all) of the cost. Is it just you guys picked that high of a deductible? I think ours is around $500. I'm glad you are finally getting it cleaned up though. I'm sure that has been a pain.

The house down the road (that got crushed by a tree a few days after yours) is still dealing with their clean-up and insurance too. I don't know how they are though, as the entire roof of their master bedroom collapsed. UGH! They still have tarps draped over the roof to keep out the weather.

I take gutters for granted too. LOL! They seem pointless until we get hit with a big downpour. The rest of the time, they just seem to cause problems. At least up north with all the freezing in the winter and the leaves in the fall, etc...

My two are at day camp the next two weeks. Tomorrow is Milo's birthday, so he is having a few friends over in the afternoon for pizza and cake and we'll probably go see the Cars movie tomorrow night too.

DH and I are going to be finishing up the odds and ends of moving and cleaning out the old house.

Has nothing to do with the deductible it's just how insurance works. Even though the tree fell on the house they only allow you $500 for the tree and then $1000 more for the removal. BUT this tree was HUGE and it cost $3000 to remove it.
