How is your friend doing?

We have dance and both Brooke and Braedon seem to have a cold / cough. Brooke has a parade on Saturday (Christmas parade of all things) and then a Holiday classic she is dancing at on Sunday too.

Hope the kids get better fast Susan.

Zumba sounds fun Danielle! What a cool activity.

This week is the standard week for us. Physical therapy tonight, Occupational therapy tomorrow and boy scouts. Wednesday behavioral therapy, karate and 3 hours of dance. Thursday-physical therapy again and free on Friday! One of those days we have to fit in a meeting for DD with her partner for Odyssey of the Mind competition. We host the whole team for Odyssey of the Mind on Sunday.

I like the idea behind the program (Odyssey of the Mind) but it doesn't seem practical for 1st and 2nd graders. Live and learn I guess. At least the kids are getting experience with the program and hopefully will be better at it as they get older.

I also have a big meeting Wednesday to get Milo's "wraparound" started. It is the system in our state to get therapy for kids on the autism spectrum. He will be receiving 6 hours of time with a behavioral specialist to help him regulate some of his issues due to the autism. I'm nervous but excited to get this started for him.

When I see how high functioning he is for being on the spectrum it makes me so thankful and hopeful. When I realize how much work and struggle he has and he is HIGH functioning it breaks my heart for how hard it must be for those who aren't high functioning. Wow! To know how his autism affects every second of our entire families lives, and to know we are the "lucky ones" when it comes to an autism diagnosis, is just so very sad to me.
