Default How often do you check grades for your kids

We have an online gradebook that we have access to. Teachers have to keep it up to date weekly with homework, classwork and tests. I love it. I check it about once a week or more often if I know a project was due.

I like knowing how the kids are doing on all the work not just papers sent back home and I definitely love that I can see it anytime I like not just when progress reports are sent home.

I love technology!

I hear ya! I think starting next year, we will get an access code to view our child's grades online. The teacher does have their own page on the school website that they update monthly. She has it broken down for Reading, Writing, Math, Phonemic Awareness/Phonics, Science and Social Studies.

The teacher does have a weekly "progress report", thats staple to her folder that gets sent home everyday. For each day there is either S, O, O+, etc and we have to initial it every night.

Elem school doesn't have it, but I can see Rachel's grades in Middle School thru Aries. I usually check about once/wk or more often if I am wondering about a grade on a specific assignment.

I think it would be great! We don't have grades until 3rd or 4th grade and then we have the Power School website where we can check them in those grades.

I just came back from the conference with Ilijana's teacher. What is weird to me is that they had lots of percentages and stats for her, but "they don't do grades". LOL!

I'm dreading our next conference at 4:40pm. It is with Milo's teacher, the principal, guidance counselor, and speech therapist. UGH!! Oh and we have 20 minutes. LOL! HA! Like ANYTHING will get done with that many people in 20 minutes.

We also have access to an online gradebook. I check it every few days or so. We don't receive a paper report card--it's all online so we pay close attention. I really like it.
