oh it sounds like a perfect weekend

I had a very nice weekend also. On Friday I took Skye out of school for a half day so she could have a playdate with my friends daughters that had a half day. She got to swim almost all day then she had 2 other friends sleep over and TJ had one friend sleep over. That night we walked and got them icecream and they swam before and after dinner. On Saturday the kids went home at 11 then the kids and I went with a friend to the local park for a music festival there wasn't much there and a lot of people didn't show up because of the weather Skye played on the playground mostly and TJ played dodge ball with my bils girlfriends 2 sons that were there. Saturday night we went to another park where they were having safety day but they all packed up early because of the weather (it was cloudy but not raining) but we got fried dough and a fried oreo Yummy. yesterday we went to my nephews baptism and the celebration reception after then came home chilled out and watched Just Go with It Adam Sandler and Jennifer Annistan btw great movie

Sounds like a busy weekend ladies! Mine was pretty laid back..nothing exciting.

The girls and I were in the pool for a bit on saturday. I vacuumed it just in time for a bad storm. :\ DH was on a firecall for 3 house to pump a house and a road.

Yesterday just hang out on the backyard...Nicole was in the pool for about half hour then my BIL came over w/ his son and they played. After taking his son home, him and his g/f stayed for dinner.

We were busy. We went to a party on Sat and on Sun was a baby shower for my step-DIL. This is grandbaby #4 for me...and there is another one due in Dec. My girls will be auntie x 5!

Yesterday was a planned power outage and the power was out from 9-5. I knew it may happen but didn't expect the power to be off that long. Luckily it wasn't too hot. A friend brought her girls over because mine were going stir-crazy with no electricity. It didn't bother me but it took a few minutes to figure out how I was going to make my coffee.

Sheri that sounds like an awesome weekend. Sounds like everyone had a pretty great weekend! :-)

We are on our family vacation this week. We left Saturday and had a nice day at the beach Sunday. It was pretty cool at the beach, so we stayed past noon and built a sandcastle, buried the kids in sand, etc...

It was nice. I however got fried beyond all recognition. Forgot to put any sunscreen on. Lathered up the kids and DH but idiot me forgot to put a drop on my back. I even reapplied SPF to the kids but neglected myself yet again.

I've been laid up since the burning fire started Sunday night. UGH! I could kick myself!

I guess with all of my other weird health problems and medications, the sunburn just took it out of me. I had a fever, stomach pain, and just intense throbbing on my entire back and parts of my arms until this morning.

I guess the one medication I'm on actually worsens my reaction to the sun. I used to tan if anything, not turn red like a beet for days. :-(

I never want the kids to go through that pain. They aren't going outside without SPF on if I have any say in it. That was just awful.
