We always did one gift from Santa and the rest from us too. I started that because I didn't know how else to explain why they have charities collecting toys. And we also always said Santa won't bring things we don't approve of (like pets). The problem was this year Leanna wants a new bedroom set and why wouldn't we approve of her getting that from Santa? Anyway I expect that in 5th grade somebody in school would end up telling her the about it.

I never thought about having to pay Santa back. I like that idea!

We also have Santa do the stockings & bring a few things (wrapped in Santa paper)... he often brings gifts for the whole family or gifts for the boys to share.
AND THE REST IS FROM US.
Gosh darnit... but I want the CREDIT for the stuff I buy for my kids!! LOL!!
