Keeping them warm Ages & Stages

My boss told me that his daughter was going to be Tinkerbell for Halloween, but w/ a high only in the 50's, they decided to make her be something else, a warmer costume.

Im wondering do you normally suggest your kids wear a "warm" costume or just have clothes underneath? Im hoping the girls dont give me a rough time wearing clothes underneath. Def will be chilly esp when the sun goes down.

We have the opposite problem so we always make sure to get costumes that are light weight otherwise they would sweat to death. I remember one year a friend of ours was Sully from Monsters Inc.

She about passed out she was so hot.

You are lucky Susan. Except for toddler costumes most of the costumes I see aren't warm at all. I try to get my kids to pick warmer costumes but usually they end up wearing leggings and tshirts underneath to make it warmer.

We have been fortunate of Halloween being in the 70's in the past, but not as often as I would like.

Its always cold here, too - I make the kids wear layers under their costumes. - Last year we learned to bring a flashlight with us, cuz we got lost last year - It was funny and sad at the same time.
