That's a toughy. Did you try telling him that it will make him feel better and make the coughing stop and it won't hurt so much? I'm sure you did but just asking. Um, maybe offer him a reward (sticker, even a cookie or something) and maybe that will be enough. Sorry your having such a rough time.

I know how you feel about the insurance thing. We have some prescriptions like that too. As a matter of fact Ciara can't take the cheap Amoxicillin she needs something else and it usually ends up costing us about that much.

I've told my kids that their medicines are like little soldiers which go in and kill all the bad sickness & germs. (And then I say in a little ventriloquist voice "Yeah, let us in there... we wanna help.") Totally goofy, but it usually works.
And parents of young kids ARE NOT ABOVE BRIBERY!! I'd give him an M&M or two if he did it.

Big Hugs. It took TJ a while to get used to his meds. I had to literally hold the mask over his face and I thought well hes crying so I know its getting in. I hope that he starts taking it easier for you soon
