I'm glad he got back to you but most importantly that he hopefully calmed Brent's nerves. I think kids (especially overachievers and first borns) tend to put pressures and tasks on themselves even when it comes to school work.

I know Ilijana had this happen last year with math packets too. She was crying and panicking over this packet that was due (so she said) on Friday. Here it was to be completed throughout the month. It was due the last Friday of the month. Only found out because we had a conference the Thursday before she "thought" they were due. LOL! I started up on the poor teacher about pulling Ili out of gifted if they were going to pile on so much work to 1st graders. LOL! I felt like an idiot.

LOL too funny Nicole!

Brent felt much better and was way more at ease last night. I just hope all of his tests went well today.

Glad to hear that his teacher responded to your emails. Open communication with the teacher is important.It makes the school year a little easier.
Here in Florida they are teaching THE NEW MATH and last year my DD's math killed me.I am looking at getting her a tutor for this year to help.
