  • She calls me like 9 times a day! I don't know how to tell her in a nice way that she is calling too much. Now I'm going to be moving to the same town as her. I'm afraid she is goign to drive me nuts. She's very sensative, so I just don't know how she'll take it. Oh, why does she have to be so clingy. I wish she would get a boyfriend or something.

  • I always tell people like that things that are said jokingly but are serious.

"mom, this is the 3rd time you've called today, are you bored?"
"mom, this is the 6th time you've called today, you're messing with my soap operas and bon-bon time"
"mom, did you know that this is the 8th time you've called today? what would you do if I weren't here to entertain you?"

  • Those are some good ideas Karen. I wish I had some good advice for you Bobbi but I don't. I'm sorry. I don't really know how to handle a situation like that since both of my parents aren't real big phone talkers. Kelvin's dad is another story. They don't talk much but when they do.....get ready cuz it is a two or three hour conversation in the making.

  • NINE times?? Oh good gravy!!
Sounds like she has a LOT of time on her hands (and is calling someone without a lot of time on her hands)!!
I like Karen's idea... I do the joking/but not really joking thing sometimes too.

Maybe there are some volunteer jobs she could look into... seems like she probably needs more purpose.
