Nat - are you still doing the marble jars? Ages & Stages

I was wondering if you were still doing the marble jars.

Sarah and Andrew finally filled up their jars and so we went to Chuck-E-Cheeses on Thursday for their reward.
I think they were in absolute HEAVEN!

they were totally jazzed that they EARNED the trip and we're now working hard on filling the marble jars up for a second trip to Chuck-E-Cheeses

are you still doing it?

But mine are far from filling their jars. Maybe I should make the jars smaller.

That's great the Sarah and Andrew filled theirs.

oh, it took nearly a year I think for my kids to fill their jars.

I thought that maybe I should make the jars smaller or make the rewards bigger (5 marbles instead of 1 or 2 for doing something good for instance) but then I figured they were still into it and I wouldn't have to break out and run to Chuck-E-Cheeses every month this way... so I just left it

so I'm guessing that the marble jar is working then?
Less yelling? More prompt cooperation?

Oh, it's definitely working. They don't yell at each other as much, and when they're about to do something they're not supposed to do or start arguing with me, all I have to say is "Marbles!"

and they stop right away. Of coarse, there is the time or two where the marbles bit doesn't work, so they usually have to sit in there room for a bit. But overall, it's working.
