school supplies? Ages & Stages

Have you purchased anything (clothes, backpacks, etc) yet?

I bought Emily a lunch box, but that's it so far. LOL
I'm planning on buying all new backpacks and lunch boxes (plus one extra because someone is always forgetting one at school).
The kids will all get at least one new outfit + 2 pr of sneakers.
And for supplies, we give each teacher $50 and they buy them.

I got both kids lunchboxes at the end of the school year on sale at Lands End and got DD a new backpack as well. She was still using her preschool sized one.

We also ordered Milo some lace up sneakers. After struggling to find shoes to fit him his entire life, we finally got him measured properly at a Stride Rite shoe store. He has an enormously wide front part of his foot, but a seriously narrow heel. Basically duck feet. LOL! It is making for an expensive pair of shoes, but at least they will fit well.

We haven't gotten their supply lists yet but that usually comes in mid-August.

Kaitlyn needs a new one, but havent purchased anything yet for the new school year. Im waiting til Walmart has their big school supplies sale.

Nothing yet but I noticed Target is starting to get their school supplies in.

I need to take the girls for new clothes but I'm dreading it. It was fun while they were little - now its just expensive!

I got Ryan a new backpack and lunch box last week at Toys r us. I got a $10 off coupon and they had their "buy a bakpack, get a lunch box free" sale so we crossed that off our list. I ordered Ryan the school supply kit from the school fundraiser so we just go pick it up at registration with eveything else he needs and we are good to go.

We also got new shoes last week when Shoe Carnival was having a buy one, get the second half price sale and he really needed new sneakers now so he is wearing one set now and saving the other for start of school.
