Wink Some personal observations

I know this is soooo wayyyy o/t but I have to share this.
I was on my way to my cousins to work today and was thinking about Amy in California and how different we are really. I mean I am sooo redneck and most of the people we know are. Then I started thinking of some of the crazy mess I've seen and how truly white trash redneck some of the people I know are. So I thought ya'll might get a kick out of some of these outragious things! It may make ya'll laugh....

1) I have actually been in a wedding that was held at the hunting camp during the lunch break at the dog pen. We all wore camoflauge shirts and jeans (I was pg and had to wear my dh's shirt, I was so cute - not). During the "ceramony" all you could hear was dogs barking. The preacher set his can of miller lite on the tail gate of a truck before the "service". I swear to God!!!

2) I know a guy who has built a Harley in his dining room. I know a guy who has built a Harley in his living room. 2 different guys. I swear to God.

3) I have seen 2 broke down Monster trucks decorated with Christmas lights during the Holidays. I swear to God.

4) I have seen men wear bib overalls to church. I swear to God.

5) I knew an old man who had a window a/c unit in 1 room of his house "because his dogs liked to sleep in the cool air" while he himself hated it and slept in another room. I swear to God.

See what I mean?

That is hysterical. Not laughing at you, but with you! It is good to laugh at ourselves. Some of the things my family and friends (and myself) do just crack me up.

I am of Serbian ethnicity and some of the things we consider normal are far from it for most people. (think "Big Fat Greek Wedding".

Thanks for sharing!

I'm pretty close

My brother has built a few Harley's in his house. (Did I just admit that )

I was in a wedding in a horse barn. The bride went up the "isle" on a horse and the guests sat on straw bails. The dinner was chili cooked in a huge black cauldrin thingy over an open fire.

My dad & brother wear bibbed overalls almost everwhere.

Alaskans have their own rednecks as well. There are the junker yards. The snowmachines built in living rooms. Do you gals know what Carharts are? Our outdoor store in Fairbanks sells the most Carharts in the world.

Oh, and speaking of marriage. Alaska state law says that every Alaskan is allowed to perform a marriage ceremony once. There have been some interesting weddings around here.
