Update on Douglas! Ages & Stages

I gave an update on all 3 of my girlies, I suppose I should give an update for Douglas too, huh?!

Douglas is 6 1/2 and growing faster than I ever thought imaginable! He is super tall for his age. He was just at the Dr and I don't remember how tall they said he is, but I do know he weighs almost 70 pounds! (He's tall and skinny!) Everyone always thinks he's way older than he is.

Douglas has started into the full fledged homeschooling business now and he seems to really like it, although he does ask when he will get to go to "real school" fairly often. We keep telling him when he's in about 5th grade so he can start sports.

He also is in some activities. He has Pioneers through the school/church (Sienna and Athemia are also involved in that, all 3 kids really enjoy all the activities they do with the Pioneer group! It's fun for the parents too!) Douglas also will start wrestling this year. Unfortunately he will end up with kids older than him that have done wrestling before. This will be his first year, but since he's so big for his age, there's not a whole lot we can do other than work with him outside of the actual "class" to better his abilities! Douglas has a couple of YMCA activities as well. He is continuing with swimming, which he still seems to enjoy and he just started piano lessons (a new thing at the Y that they just started!) He had his first lesson yesterday and got through 3 lessons worth of material in half an hour! The teacher seemed VERY impressed by his ability and thinks he will catch on very quickly!

I think that's about it right now! Again, we're VERY busy but we always seem to be having fun!
