It wasn't to bad having the blood drawn but i am SCARED to death of needles and DH was harassing me up to the min we went in to have it done.

As for why we are having the test done got more complicated yesterday so i will try and make this short. DH has 2 cousions with the same parents (his moms side). My family does not know of any CF at all, until when my sister was PG with my nephew the OB ran a genetic test on her (sister) and we found out she is a carrier and since we are full blood sisters there is a chance i am a carrier so we were having the test run to see i either of us are carriers, now what complicated things is while we were waiting to go have the blood drawn MIL called and BIL has been having problems and MIL fought to have a full DNA work up done on BIL to check for CF and she got the results back and BIL(13) Has 2 mutations on different strands of his DNA so he will be going to Childerens hospital friday to decide what the plan of action is as far as meds.

so now we wait for our results and depending on what comes back DH may have to have the full DNA work up done.
