Default What books are your kids reading these days?

Brent is reading 39 Clues right now and wants to start the new series by Rick Riordan http://www.rickriordan.com/my-books/...d-pyramid.aspx. He's already read the Lightning Theif and a couple of those in that series.

He's read both of the Mysterious Benedict Society books and loved them. http://www.amazon.com/Mysterious-Ben.../dp/0316057800

Brooke is now reading Ato Z Mystery books and some Nancy Drew. She finished all of the Junie B Jones series.

Braedon likes to read (or have me read it to him) Magic Treehouse series.

Josh is reading some books from the guided reading books I borrowed from school. I love them because they're right at his level or a little above AND... we can finish them in one sitting.

Rachel is reading Nine Lives of Chloe King. She likes anything with a paranormal twist but rarely finishes. She'll stop 2-3 chapters before the end and ask me how it ends. Drives me nuts because I have to know the ending! Sometimes I even read the last chapters before I get to them!

Leanna doesn't want to read anything right now. She read all the Nancy Drew books the sch library had last year.

Kayleigh loved the Dan Gutman books also. I think she's read most of them. We own a zillion of the Rainbow Fairy books from the book fairs they have at school. She loves those and reads them over and over.

She loves the "Franny K Stein" books from Jim Benton and I think just finished a bunch we got from the library.

She also is reading a bunch by the same author called Dear Dumb Diary.

She loves to read and I can't keep up at times then other times it's hard for her to get into a book. She's like me I have to get into it right away or I won't read it.

I just bought her a chair for her room so she could sit and read and I love walking by and seeing her engrossed in a book.
