Glad to help! Yes, you download onto your computer, and you'll get fonts, digital paper, embellishments like buttons, flowers, beads, swirls, words, etc. A lot of these come in coordinated kits so everything goes together. Then you open up the different elements in photoshop and cut and paste different pieces together onto your Photoshop file, add and size pictures, insert text, and you're done. I then save a copy as a JPEG if I want to upload the finished product onto a photo site for inclusion in a photo book or printing on photo paper. Shutterfly won't print onto 8X8 or 12X12, but scrapbookpictures.com does at a pretty reasonable price, and the prints are beautiful.

A traditional paper one-page layout usually takes me about 60-90 minutes to complete, from sketching out the layout to selecting paper and embellishments and doing the actual cutting and adhering of elements. I just did a 24-page 8X8 book for a friend on Photoshop, and I did the whole thing in 8 hours over the course of the week. Digital scrapbooking is a huge time savings. Only problem is, I prefer the traditional kind for my own books, so I only do digital for friends and relatives.
