Jake rolled over. You should have seen his face...he was so shocked he did it that he started to cry! broke my heart! He has not done it again, though. when he is placed on his belly he will scoot with his whole body...like a worm. Besides that, he sits all the time and just seems to be content with not rolling over. He turned 5 months old a few days ago, so it was time!

What cutie!! For comparison sake, Alex will be 7 months old next week and he's STILL not sitting on his own.

Babies do different things at different times. I hope my Alex starts sitting up soon.

My eldest was like that. He seemed to be slow at everything (a friend of mine had a baby 2 months before I did and her son was practically driving a car by 8 months! :lol) but all of a sudden he just had a massive leap in development and started doing everything really quickly! You are right, each child is different. Maybe because you had two girls first you are used to them doing things sooner...I know my daughter was crawling at 5 1/2 months (just started crawling) and DS#1 didnt do that until he was 11 months old! They say boys tend to do things much slower than girls. I am sure that Alex will fly ahead of all of us in the end.
